Constables of Newton County keep and preserve the peace within the county, by aiding and assisting in executing the criminal laws of the state. Constables give information to some justice court judges or other court officers as well as execute and return all process where it is civil or criminal. The constable is authorized to serve process that is issued by any county, chancery or circuit court.
